2012 Year of the Water Dragon

it's that time of the year again! In another 2 days time we will be celebrating our Lunar New Year! So it's been crazy busy wirh lotsa preparations! My Love has been busy rushing to coat the walls with fresh new paint and discarded the old bed frame with a nice white wooden frame. and lotsa new drawers and storage to clean up and make our house more spacious and neat ;)

but the bad side of being so busy is I didn't even go for a single jog this week... it's freaking depressing... but I really will make effort to watch my diet and squeeze in the jog and swim when I can.

Fat - 1st Weigh 2012

Finally I bought the battery for my weighing scale!! And the cruel truth is out... I weigh at a whopping 213 pounds on the night of 08/01/2012! And my aim is to down 15 pounds by end April 2012. Trying to do this slow, steady and healthy.

What I had today:
Breakfast - Tuna mayo sandwich with 1 slice cheese and 2 thick slice of tomatoes with 2 slices of white bread.
Lunch - One bowl of chicken soup with half bowl rice.
Dinner - dunno yet

Will do my best to achieve what I want.

First Jog / Walk

Ok! My girl and I went for a slow jog with brisk walking last evening and it felt really good!! Feeling all the rush of blood and body warming up with perspiration was an awesome feeling!! We jog/walk from our house to the nearby mall which is about 1.6km one way. Not a very big distance but it is sufficient for a start.

Then we had salads at Coffee Bean and shared a cup of Hot Japanese Cherry Green Tea :) Though not exactly the healthiest of the salads but I will slowly reduce the dressings or eventually substitute with light italian dressing or olive oil with balsamic vinegar. Go Go Go!!!



Then after some grocery shopping we brisk walk back home.

I realised to lead a healthier life is not about dieting, it is to enjoy leading the healthier options in life. May all my love ones be healthy and happy.

Exercise & Diet

I have been wondering what kind of diet is the best? Should I avoid carbo totally as my job really don't require much effort as it's a office job and I'm like practically sitting till my buttocks are really huge now.

But I love having bread for breakfast. Toast it with butter, or spread with butter & jam, sandwich it with fried eggs/ egg mayo/ tuna mayo/ boil sausage or even on its own. Rest of the day I can do without carbo. So is it good or bad, bread for breakfast? I was given a diet plan before but don't really know if it's healthy but it kinda reduce my weight the last time when I faithfully stick to it. The plan is as follows:

Or anyone has a good diet plan to share with me?

I'll also be having my swim and/or brisk walking at least twice a week. Is that enough? I mean for a start. And I don't really wanna start jogging with such a heavy weight to avoid hurting my knees. My aim is to try to lose 1kg or 2.2pounds a week and gradually increase the exercise frequency and the time spent on exercising too. Feel free to give me your advice if anyone chance upon my blog!
